Holy cow it has been awhile!

So it's that time of year again.... I am looking for new and improved ways to procrastinate... hence a blog entry! Don't fall over, I know it's been awhile! Feel free to leave me comments if you also need a new procrastination tool. : )

Well, first off, sad news. My pastor bobble head committed suicide today. Right off of the end of the shelf. Dang. Worst thing is I didn't even get to say good-bye, he jumped before I even knew what was happening! I'll post a picture of the poor guy below, warning, it is quite graphic, PG-13 even!

Wow, not much else exciting in my world today, except that the randomness of my life continues to amaze Katie :-) ... lol. Had a good dinner with some of the House Fellow gang, and we agreed that we all talk in instant messanger acronyms.... btw... brb.... and we made up a few of our own. Good times, but maybe you had to be there! Awe man, other than that just trying to figure out what to do my future, you know, no big deal or anything! But I think what it comes down to is faith. God is really showing me how weak my faith in him is. As of now I am torn between what I know I should be doing for God and finding something in the world that I know I could glorify him with but it would be for me. Something in me is not willing to settle for a "normal job" where I work during the day, go home only to sleep and go back again, I just feel like there is something more out there. Life is so short, you can't take any money with you, so why does it matter that we have these high paying jobs? Too bad my gut goes against the world. Good thing I have God to pull me through.... ooo found a good verse:

"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets a prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize." - 1 Corinthians 9:25-27
